The drum motor reduces operating and maintenance costs due to efficiencies, while allowing operation in any adverse condition. The newest advancements include the use of labyrinth cassette type seals to prevent debris from entering the drum motor and prevent oil from escaping. This allows the drum motor to operate in any condition, whether outdoors, dusty, abrasive or a harsh environment.
