Maintaining our reputation for aggressive “nip angle” and “consistent crushing force” over the full face of the chamber, these new jaw crushers feature longer stroke length and steeper toggle angles than most major competitors. With true adjust-on-the-fly capability, they offer discharge adjustment at the touch of a finger, along with hydraulic clearing, and automatic tramp iron relief with auto-reset.
Unlike most competitors, Universal offers a bank of smaller hydraulic cylinders with off-the-shelf components, and a combined force unsurpassed in the industry. The new model 3264 Recycle Jaw will be the first of this new series to offer this adjust-on-the-fly feature. The 3264 Recycle Jaw also brings several new features to the industry. This crusher features a heavy duty fabricated pitman designed with finite element modeling to ensure optimum durability. The corrugated jaw dies are reversible and interchangeable from stationary to moveable positions increasing utilization of wear metal. A replaceable “toe” at the bottom of both jaw dies will help to eliminate costly repairs over the long life of this crusher. These new replaceable toes eliminate the need to use the cheek plates to secure the stationary jaw die. The pitman also features a replaceable impact plate to protect the pitman barrel and provide a means to guide material into the crushing chamber. This crusher also features outer bearings that remain enclosed if and when the pitman is removed from the base for in-shop maintenance. Another new innovation is the variable mounting feature, and the optional motor mount designed into the base frame. The new 3264 Recycle Jaw offers a true 32” x 64” opening into the crushing chamber eliminating the need to prep most recyclable materials. Universal continues to focus on reducing the maintenance cost of our equipment, both in the time to accomplish the task and the frequency. All these new features bring value to the producer in reduced downtime and more prosperous uptime.
