Sandvik and Dyno Nobel Announce Registration for 2009 Quarry Academy

Sandvik Mining and Construction and Dyno Nobel have just announced the opening of registration for their fourth North American Quarry Academy. Quarry Academy is an in-depth, three-day educational program covering the integration and optimization of quarry processes including planning, drill and blast, hauling, conveying, crushing and more. The two sponsoring companies provide much of the instruction using their extensive staff of global experts in quarry operations.

Quarry Academy 2009 will be held at Sandvik’s new North American Training Center, located just a short drive from Atlanta’s Hartsfield International Airport. The Academy will run November 3-5, 2009, and registration is limited.

Quarry Academy's in-depth classroom sessions demonstrate solutions to optimize the full range of quarry processes.

Custom tailored for managers of quarry operations, the coursework is taught by teams of Sandvik and Dyno Nobel experts with over 200 years combined experience in quarry and mining operations. The classroom content is further developed in workshops and a fieldtrip brings much of the content alive through real-world examples. Each of over 20 class segments delivers the latest strategies and solutions for many of the most pressing issues facing the industry today, including methods to add value and increase profitability. The curriculum is targeted to quarry owners, operations managers and staff engineers who allocate, manage and influence the people and resources required to improve performance in a quarry production program. In addition, key distributor personnel who need in-depth understanding of the quarrying process/applications will gain valuable insights into the procedures and practices that directly impact their customer’s business.

Those interested in attending Quarry Academy can learn more about this year’s program and register to attend by visiting the Quarry Academy Web site at: www.quarryacademy.com
