For separating light, deleterious materials such as lignite or coal from sand and for precise and reliable sand classification PHOENIX offers its Model HS HYDROSORT™.  Using upward current, fluidized bed technology, the HYDROSORT™ is automated to maintain the separation and/or classification required to meet demanding customer specifications.  Both the cut size and cut density can be varied over a broad range.  High quality, spec sand is produced over a wide variation in raw material quality.  Two different water distribution technologies are available for superior upflow distribution and clog free operation.  There are no moving parts; and the vertical, cylindrical design uses less space and support steel.  C, S, or C/S designs are available for classification by particle size, separation of deleterious materials by relative density, or simultaneous classification and separation.

For effective, consistent and economical separation of deleterious, light weight materials from gravel the PHOENIX Model GS Jig Separator uses proven, air-pulsed jigging technology. Wood, coal, lignite, coal, clay, shale, and other deleterious materials are separated and removed from quality gravel product.
