RSC launches Integrated Services Group to meet unique customer needs
SCOTTSDALE, AZ — RSC Equipment Rental, one of North America’s largest equipment rental companies, recently launched their Integrated Services Group, a team of professionals that provide an array of new services to meet the unique needs of many industrial customers. RSC’s “one-stop shop” is unmatched for servicing the needs of the power, mining and petrochemical industries.
Integrated Services includes: equipment rental, Total Control®, Mobile Tool Room™, onsite/offsite management services, and pump and power solutions. The combination of these services delivers cost savings and improved efficiency, two highly valued competitive advantages. Industrial segments are seeing above average return rates, and the programs under the Integrated Services umbrella are utilized most frequently within these sectors, namely in petrochemical plants, refineries, power generation, shipping, and pulp and paper.

Total Control®
Total Control is a unique software solution created by RSC to provide a complete range of rental management capabilities directly to the customer. This web based program enables customers to quickly locate equipment, track its usage, and schedule on-rent/off-rent dates and times. The solution provides complete, up-to-the-minute data about all equipment on a jobsite, including third party items and even the customer’s own fleet. Total Control can also monitor the fleet for refueling and maintenance checks, along with the status of employee safety training on equipment.
Many of RSC’s customers are already using Total Control, including large companies such as Shell, ExxonMobil and Disney. Nearly all customers, from industrial to entertainment, remark on the simplicity of the program and how it completely streamlines the rental process and maximizes efficiency.
“The primary benefit of Total Control is efficiency,” said Lowry. “You don’t want valuable time on a jobsite wasted with employees searching high and low for tools or ordering and then waiting for delivery of equipment. Total Control does it all for you. It manages everything automatically, cuts down-time and increases worksite organization, leading to cost savings.”
Mobile Tool Room™
Mobile Tool Room is a RSC-exclusive solution that offers portable units that are custom-stocked with all the tools, small equipment and hardware necessary for a specific project. The manned or unmanned tool room (trailer unit) is placed on the jobsite, allowing the convenient housing and tracking of all the required tools for maximum worksite efficiency. All tools and equipment in a Mobile Tool Room are systematically tracked, allowing them to be checked in and out quickly and easily.
If desired, RSC will also provide onsite tool room management. Customers can contract for an experienced employee trained in the safety and use of standard tools to manage the tool room at their facility.
Pump & Power Solutions
RSC has also launched new services focusing on industrial scale pump and power solutions to complement its existing fleet of small pumps and generators. The fleet originally consisted of dewatering pumps up to 6-inches, but now includes a more varied and powerful inventory capable of servicing a greater range of applications including industrial processing and mining. The new generators include units up to 350 kva/kw for applications that will include manufacturing, temporary and supplemental power for turnarounds, shutdowns, outages, disaster relief and special events.
RSC has chosen to strategically expand Pump & Power Solutions to support high demand of the petrochemical, government, pulp and paper, agriculture, manufacturing, mining and emergency response industries nationwide.
