Polydeck Screen Corporation

Modular Synthetic Screens from Polydeck

Polydeck is the industry leader in modular polyurethane and rubber screen media

Because there are so many variables in rock production from region to region and even from plant to plant, screen media manufacturers must be flexible and innovative to effectively respond to customer screening needs, whatever they may be. These characteristics describe Polydeck perfectly and have resulted in the evolution of their entire line of more than 1,000 modular screen panel options in 1-ft. x 1-ft. and 1-ft x 2-ft. polyurethane and 1-ft. x 2-ft. rubber. To their customers, this means they will likely have an effective solution for virtually any screening problem you may have. But if they do not, their in-house design capabilities and tool and die facility give them the capability to customize a solution that will meet your needs.

Screen Panel Options

Polydeck’s screen panel product line includes a wide range of design options. To help their customers navigate through the choices, their outside sales professionals thoroughly analyze all aspects of your screening operation to propose the most effective solution.

Screen panel variables that can significantly affect production throughput include:
- Opening size and shape
- Screen panel material and thickness
- Type of fastening
- Screen panel insert type
- Any necessary surface features like dams or skid bars.

Available opening shapes include square, round, slotted, VR (square openings in a zigzag pattern), SVR (slotted openings instead of square) and continuous slot, as well as solid panels for high impact areas. Because Polydeck produces its entire line of screen panels by an injection molding manufacturing process, surface features like dams, skid bars and deflectors can be added as an integrated part of the panel, not glued or screwed on.

By matching your screening needs to available screen panel design configurations, Polydeck Application Engineering professionals ensure that all variables have been considered. They are so confident that their screening solution will meet or exceed your production requirements, Polydeck offers the most comprehensive production guarantee in the industry.

The modular design of Polydeck screen panels makes installation and replacement of their panels a simpler (and safer) process than with competitive screen mats and steel screen sections.

Polydeck’s wide variety of screen panel design options provide producers with the options they need to solve their screening challenges.

Polydeck’s PipeTop IITM stringers, coupled with their Maxi screen panel design, allows more holes per panel and the highest open area among competitive products.

Frame System Options

Polydeck’s patented PipeTop II™ stringer system features narrow ½ inch rails that allow the surface of their Maxi screen panel designs to contain more holes than competitive designs. More holes means more open area which results in more product throughput. But it’s not just greater open area that makes the PipeTop II™ system a favorite among producers across North America. Its flexible fastening options allow you to choose the one that best meets your application needs, while providing the ability to change fastening types without any structural modification to the frame itself.

The PipeTop II™ system is available in a range of configurations and can be bundled as individual stringers for installation by your OEM (original equipment manufacturer); as a pre-jigged configuration for converting your deck from a competitor’s system; or as a complete frame assembly for installation in your vibrating screen. There is even an option for changing from a flat modular deck surface to a crowned deck with wire cloth and back again, for those occasions when you need to make a specialty run. Best of all, it can be accomplished quickly and easily, without any modifications to the deck frame.
Polydeck also offers other popular frame types, like channel or channel grid (for applications where maximum open area is not a priority); PolyRail™, which attaches to channel or angle iron frame rails with minimal tools and manpower; and trommel frames, for SAG, ball and rod mill applications popular in the mining industry.
Fastening Options and Accessories
Because every vibrating machine and application has unique characteristics, Polydeck offers a variety of ways to attach their screen panels to the deck frame. Choices include the traditional pin-style fastening, with multiple pin designs based upon the thickness of the screen panel and the stress placed on it by the material and the vibration of the screen deck; their patented PolySnap® design, with multiple head sizes and material compounds, all featuring its unique horizontal and vertical holding mechanism; and the PolyRail™ system mentioned above, for easy conversion and even easier screen panel installation.
Polydeck also manufactures a complete line of accessory items for those applications that require special adapters, shims or converters in order to achieve the desired result.
