Major mining initiative in the Yukon moves one step closer

 WHITEHORSE – A major mining initiative in the southeast Yukon recently moved one step closer to starting production.

Yukon Zinc’s Wolverine project’s ‘Tailings and Infrastructure Design and Construction Plan’ was recently approved by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources. The plan presents a detailed design of the tailings storage facility for the underground zinc-silver mine located 180 km southeast of Ross River, in the Finlayson mining district.
