SAVANNAH, GA — JCB Attachments has unveiled a range of crusher buckets designed to work with the JCB line of tracked excavators, from the JS160 to the JS360. Crusher buckets are capable of reducing site waste, brick, demolition rubble or rock into a usable material, eliminating haulage and disposal costs |
There are three base models the CB60, CB70 and CB90 with two variants of each of the larger models to suit the power and lifting capabilities of the JS crawler excavator lineup. Sustained crushing force Powered by the excavator’s standard hydraulic breaker circuit, the crusher buckets use a fixed jaw in the base, with a hydraulically activated hinged jaw in the roof of the bucket. The gap between the two jaws can be set with shims to determine the size of the finished material. The crushing action is achieved by the hinged jaw being cycled in and out using an eccentric mounted on a shaft across the top of the bucket. This shaft is equipped with substantial flywheels at each end and rotated by a belt from the hydraulic motor. The flywheels store energy from the motor, smoothing out the power delivery and reducing stress on the machine. This action also generates a more sustained crushing action, increasing productivity. Increased versatility The CB60 is designed to work with JCBs JS160 and the JS190 and offers a capacity of 0.59yd3 (0.45m3). Two versions of the CB70 are available, both with a 0.78yd3 (0.60m3) capacity, to work with the JS220 and the JS260 models. Likewise the CB90 offers two versions, for the JS260-360, both have a 0.98yd3 (0.75m3) capacity. Crusher buckets are capable of reducing site waste, brick, demolition rubble or rock into a usable material, eliminating haulage and disposal costs. They can reduce material to a hardcore size from less than an inch to 4 and 3/4-inch (20-120mm), also offering a cost effective alternative to an on site mobile crushing plant. They are particularly useful in demolition applications, providing an on site recycling resource and boosting the versatility and utilization of the JCB excavator. Even demolition waste with reinforcing steel present can be crushed, allowing the steel to be removed and recycled. Built to perform The JCB crusher buckets have 30 hour greasing intervals with just two lubrication points. They are performance matched to the JCB excavator range. Each crusher bucket carries its own JCB warranty and is fully covered by JCBs renowned after sales support service.
