Great products and great service bring customer loyalty

When it comes to customer loyalty and success during a tough economy, Dale Larmour knows what it takes to create it. “We don’t just promise great customer service, we deliver it,” says Dale Larmour, owner of Crushing and Screening Equipment Company, Ltd., independent dealer for Keestrack mobile crushing and screening equipment in Ohio and portions of surrounding states. “A lot of companies are focused on selling equipment. They tend to promise good service after the sale. We prove our service to the customers, up front!”

Justin Cooper, Operations Manager for H. Hafner and Son (left) and Jason Steiner, Service Engineer for Crushing and Screening Equipment Co., Ltd. (right), have Hafner’s Keestrack Destroyer “ready to rumble.”

“We operate three service trucks at any given time, depending on the customer needs,” says Larmour. “We have two new trucks, and we enjoy catering to our customers. When they pick up the phone, they know we will be there. We have been in business for more than 10 years, and we have built our customer base on providing customer service, even before the sale.”

Larmour says that the Keestrack equipment that his company sells, is the best in the industry. Like all crushing and screening units however, they need regular service, and prompt maintenance. “Crushers, especially impact crushers, are wonderful machines, but they are constantly wearing themselves out because of the kind of work that they are called upon to do,” he says. “They require faithful maintenance and service, and if it is not done, they will fail prematurely. That is where we come in.”

“We work with our customers to keep their equipment in top condition,” he says. “We know what we are doing, and we can keep them operating in good times and bad. When the customer calls, we pick up the phone and we respond immediately. That way, they have less down-time.”

“This is one of the reasons why some of our customers, like Hafner & Sons, work exclusively with Keestrack equipment from Crushing and Screening Equipment Company,” he said. “They have come to trust us and Keestrack equipment to do the job. When Justin Cooper saw how well the Destroyer met his crushing needs, he knew that he could rely upon us for our service, once he bought the unit.”

Larmour says that after Hafner made the decision to purchase the Destroyer demonstration unit that they had on trial, Crushing and Screening Equipment Company provided the expertise to refurbish the unit, returning it to a like-new condition. Crushing and Screening Equipment’s Service Engineer, Jason Steiner, worked closely with Justin Cooper to restore the unit to top condition.
Larmour says that his dealership is one of the few remaining exclusive, independent dealerships of its kind in the portable crushing and screening industry. He says that he is proud that he and his staff have been able to serve his clientele so successfully over the years. He says that the aggregate industry has undergone changes that have seen many equipment manufacturers selling their portable equipment through the larger, regional dealerships. There are few smaller, independent dealerships, like Crushing and Screening Equipment Company, remaining. “We are a small company, but we are very good at what we do!” he says.
