| The new DAVEYTRONIC® SP Digital Blasting System consists of a set of three rugged units: Hand-held Remote Blaster and Programming Unit together with a compact Blast Driver. USB, RS232 and Ethernet smart interfaces facilitate the communication with PC applications such as D2D (blast design software) or Datalogger (data transfer software).
DAVEYTRONIC® SP Digital Blasting System features a secure encoded proprietary communication protocol for both firing line control and wireless data transmission. The integrated modems provide world class performances with low output radiations limiting the risks on human health. The field-proven detonator offers the industry an unparalleled safety level with two-capacitors, two-way communication, and the exclusive Davey Bickford smart shunt. Security is reinforced with the patented RFID technology and the unique ID tracking number of each detonator. Blast Drivers and Remote Blasters are coupled before blasting to ensure immunity to other RF devices and inadvertent initiation. The design includes an exclusive “EMP proof” feature consisting of a firing line galvanic insulation eliminating the risk of electrical shock. It is now possible for the DAVEYTRONIC®SP Remote Blaster to remotely control a network of several Blast Drivers located at different areas of the mine, in order to fire several blasts simultaneously from a central location.

| The DAVEYTRONIC® OP is a simple and accurate digital blasting system from the latest development of our Daveytronic Digital Blasting System product portfolio. The OP product for Open Pit delivers ease of use and proven reliability, safety and robustness to users in small surface coal operations, as well as in the quarry and construction industries. The DAVEYTRONIC®OP brings the key benefits a Digital Blasting System can deliver: reduced vibration, better fragmentation, enhanced safety, security and cost savings. The OP product is one of the most effective tools a quarry or mining operator can use to lower vibration levels while keeping their operational costs down. In most cases, the OP product will allow the blast engineer to increase the pattern size and compensate for the detonator cost premium. Cleaner and more stable high walls, less back break together with better fragmentation and lower downstream costs will provide a tremendous value to Open Pit mines. The DAVEYTRONIC® OP retains all of the safety features our customers have come to expect from the Daveytronic product portfolio, such as the field-proven two-capacitor design, two-way communication system, the ability to find missing, faulty or extra detonators and the exclusive smart shunt protecting the fusehead right up to the firing time.
