Columbia Steel works closely with crusher operators to offer parts designed to do a specific job better. We won’t tell you we have the “problem solved” until we get all the facts. We encourage you to ask for a wear study to be conducted. Your Columbia representative will collect the facts on your feed material, sieve analysis of crushed output, discharge settings used, production rates, crushing liners you are now using, and what the worn liners look like when replaced. He will talk to you about your percentage of recirculated material, and any other problems you are having, such as blocking, poor nipping, uneven wear or excessive discard weight. Columbia Steel’s district managers and product engineers will specify or design crusher wear part profiles to improve production throughout the wear life of the part, to increase overall wear life, obtain consistent sizing, reduce the number of change-outs and solve specific problems.
