To automatically eliminate belt mistracking on the side conveyor of its mobile, track-mounted cone crushing plant, Killeen Crushed Stone uses a Navigator return trainer. Plant Superintendent Pat Sharp says they placed the return trainer at the point where the conveyor angles. “Bottom-line, this solution has made a believer out of me. We have no mistracking problems at all. It has paid for itself many times over in the reduction of maintenance labor and downtime,” he says. “Without the Navigator return trainer, we would have to adjust the conveyor belt after each travel of the tracks, and after each transport of the plant to a new location. Now we have no adjustments at all. It’s been worth its weight in gold,” he says.  At this quarry in Ohio, the maintenance department dealt frequently with belt mistracking. In some spots, the belts were tearing or wearing away return idler brackets. |
