Installed at the point where the belt leaves the head pulley, and specifically designed for reversing conveyor belt applications, Argonics’ Eraser DS secondary system is a vital part of the conveyor system. Argonics’ secondary system cleans the conveyor to prevent carryback from becoming a nuisance or safety hazard. This new high performance Eraser DS extends conveyor belt life and lowers maintenance costs and potential for downtime. Argonics’ Eraser DS Secondary Belt Cleaner effectively eliminates common conveyor carryback problems such as conveyor belt misalignment, accumulation of material and/or material build up. The cleaner is easy to install and allows for fast, efficient blade change out, thereby reducing downtime. “The Eraser DS Secondary Belt Cleaning system is designed to be an economical version of our heavy duty XTC cleaner, with a .19-inch (5 mm) thick, 2-inch x 2-inch (50 mm x 50 mm) powder coated tube stock steel mainframe for strength and durability,” says Bob Welker, sales and marketing manager. The system is manufactured with blades available in polyurethane and tungsten carbide. The new system uses a single pin blade attachment, making blade change out quick, reducing conveyor downtime and eliminating the potential for rusty bolts.
